Huntingburg Man Arrested Police Chase Reaches 115 MPH



A Huntingburg man was arrested early this morning following a two-county police chase.

A state trooper attempted to pull over the driver of a motorcycle for speeding on US 231 south of Loogootee around 11-o-clock Wednesday night.

However, the driver accelerated and attempted to flee.

The pursuit was called off in Dubois County when the motorcycle hit speeds as high as 115 miles an hour.

Jasper Police arrested the driver when he stopped behind a residence on West 36th Street.

21-year-old James Schepers of Huntingburg is facing preliminary charges in Martin County of Resisting Law Enforcement, Criminal Recklessness, and Reckless Driving.

He may face additional charges in Dubois County.

A Female passenger on the motorcycle was released without charges.
