Death of Man Found in Creek Ruled Accidental Drowning
An autopsy conducted Saturday on the body of a Corydon man found in a creek Friday afternoon determined the cause of death as accidental drowning.
Indiana Conservation Officers say the body of Daniel McKim was found by two fishermen in about one-foot of water in Indiana Creek near the Capitol Avenue Bridge and the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Corydon.
Authorities say McKim sustained injuries, which given the evidence at the scene, are consistent with a fall from the bridge near which he was found.
Toxicology results are pending.
McKim’s mother had reported him missing shortly after midnight Friday.
