Jason Caldwell Formally Charged with the Murder of Solsberry Man
Indiana State Police say a Solsberry man was formally charged Thursday evening with Murder, two counts of Rape with a Deadly Weapon and six other charges in connection with the murder of 54-year-old David Lamm, also from Solsberry.
35-year-old Jason Lee Caldwell is also charged with two counts of armed robbery; Burglary with a Deadly Weapon; Criminal Confinement with a Deadly Weapon; Auto Theft and Theft.
He is scheduled to appear in Greene Superior Court Monday.
Indiana State Police Detectives found evidence through their investigation that sometime after nightfall on Friday, July 18th, Jason Lee Caldwell was waiting in Lamm's driveway and allegedly shot Lamm upon his arrival home.
Police alos say they have evidence that Caldwell raped a female inside Lamm's residence after the murder had occurred.
Credit cards, weapons, prescription drugs and a 2008 Jeep Commander were taken from the residence as well.
Caldwell was arrested with the Lamm's car Monday at an Indianapolis motel.
His brother Kevin turned himself in Sunday after he learned that he was also being sought in connection with the murder.
Kevin Caldwell has denied any involvement.
He is being held in the Greene County Jail on an unrelated charge of Probation Violation.
