Judge Blocks Ordinance Aimed at I-69 Work Noise

A Marion County Judge has issued a temporary injunction blocking a Monroe county ordinance limiting noise on the Interstate 69 project between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

The Indianapolis Star reports Judge David Dreyer found the law appears to be on INDOT's side in the dispute.

He also cited worker safety and potentially higher construction costs.

INDOT contractors faced the threat of $7,500 fines for every violation.
