The University of Southern Indiana has broken ground on a new 5.7 million dollar building.

The 12,700 square-foot Griffin Center is expected to meet the need for meeting and conference space on campus.

The Robert E. Griffin family donated $5 million to make the building possible.

Completion of the Griffin Center is set for late 2015.
