Chamber says Lack of Adequate Water Resources Impact Economic Development

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is taking a cold, hard look at water resources across the state.

Chamber Spokesman Tom Schuman says much of Central and Southern Indiana don‘t have strong enough resources to meet future growth needs.

Schuman says commercial and residential demands for water are continuing to increase and not all areas have adequate supply.

He says it‘s an economic development and jobs issue.

Schuman says it‘s an especially important issue for the I-69 corridor from Evansville to Indianapolis.

He says adequate water supply is crucial for companies to locate along that stretch of roadway.
