There were no injuries reported when a construction crane collapsed at the First United Methodist Church in Robinson, Illinois. The crane was helping set trusses on the church. Our sister station WTYE-FM in Robinson reports the outriggers on one side of the crane punched a hole in the sidewalk and the crane collapsed. The boom on the crane bent when it struck the building. There were workers on the roof when the crane collapsed, but they all escaped injury. The historic church is rebuilding after a fire struck its sanctuary last year.
