Pence Urges Lawmakers to Block Proposed EPA Regulations

Governor Mike Pence is calling on Indiana‘s congressional lawmakers to block the EPA’s proposed regulations on carbon dioxide emissions from power plants.

In a letter to the Indiana Congressional Delegation, the Governor says the state has a 300-year supply of coal which fuels 80-percent of the state‘s electricity and employs 28,000 Hoosiers.

Pence says the Obama administration‘s restrictions on power plants will boost the cost of electricity in the state by 30 percent over the next seven years.
