Onsite Issues Statement on Lawsuit
Investigators are examining whether a military subcontractor based in Princeton, Indiana underpaid scores of medical workers in Afghanistan and pocketed federal funds the government intended for the company to use to pay its employees.
A Bloomington woman claims in a lawsuit that Onsite Occupational Health and Safety underpaid her for the 84-hour weeks she routinely worked.
In a statement, Onsite says it paid the employees according to the terms of their contracts, which said they would work 84 hours a week and would be paid for the hours.
Neither state nor federal wage laws apply to work performed in a foreign country.
Onsite says it does not believe the allegations have any merit and denies any liability.
