Heart Disease Apparent Cause of Inmate's Death
Officials at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle say a 24-year-old inmate apparently died from heart disease over the weekend.
That’s the finding contained in a preliminary autopsy report on the death of Terrell Wallace, a convicted murderer from Indianapolis.
Wallace collapsed in his housing unit Saturday morning, shortly after returning from the dining hall.
Efforts by prison medical staff to revive him were unsuccessful.
Wallace was serving an 85 year sentence on Marion County murder, robbery, burglary and firearms convictions.
His earliest release date had been slated for April of 2051.
Official autopsy results are pending.
