GSH to Host Med School Residents
Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes has entered into an agreement with the Indiana University School of Medicine to be involved in a post-graduate residency program.
The students will be involved in either Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
However, the Hospital may also receive another five residency students in Psychiatry.
Good Samaritan will join Deaconess and Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville, and Jasper Memorial Hospital, in the four-facility program.
The Hospital will put up 250-thousand dollars each year for four years as part of the program.
The hospital could see a return of three and a half million dollars per year, after five years.
Most of the program residents will come from both the Indiana University School of Medicine and the new Marian University School of Medicine in Indianapolis..
However, the program is open to all medical school graduates from across the country.
