Louisiana Man Charged with Murder in Shooting Death of Vincennes Man
A Louisiana man is now facing a charge of Murder in addition to a charge of Voluntary Manslaughter in the shooting death of a Vincennes man in Princeton.
53-year-old Claude Arender of Coushatta, Louisiana initially told Princeton Police he was trying to break up a fight between his son and 21-year-old Raheim Bright early Friday morning when he hit Bright over the head several times with a handgun and the weapon went off.
However, the Evansville Courier Press reports an autopsy conducted Saturday shows Bright suffered no other injuries other than the gunshot wound to the head.
Arender reportedly altered his statement to police after being confronted by the new information.
