Constitutional Amendment Convention

One-hundred legislators from 33 states are in Indianapolis to discuss the framework for the first-ever constitutional amendment convention.

Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long helped organize the movement because he says something has to be done about the country's tsunami of unsustainable debt.

The U.S. Constitution allows states to propose amendments if representatives from 34 states meet and agree upon them.

An amendment must then be ratified by 38 states to become a part of the Constitution.
