Greene & Sullivan County Schools Receive Safety Grant Funding
Governor Mike Pence on Wednesday announced more than $9 million in grant funding to more than 250 local schools and school corporations across Indiana through the Secured School Safety Grant Program.
The Indiana Secured School Safety Board approved the grants.
In Greene County, the Bloomfield School District was awarded $35,000 for equipment; the Linton-Stockton School Corporation was awarded $50,000 to employ an SRO and for equipment; the Metropolitan School District of Shakamak was awarded $15,000 to employ an SRO and for equipment; and White River Valley School District was awarded $15,000 to
employ an SRO.
In Sullivan County, the Southwest School Corporation was awarded $45,000 for equipment.
