INDOT Releases 2014 “Trash Bash” Results

Volunteers and others have collected more than 15,000 bags of trash and debris from along Indiana highways.

The Indiana Department of Transportation says Adopt-a-Highway volunteers along with Indiana Department of Correction offenders and highway department workers, collected 16,500 bags of trash from along 1,480 miles of road during the annual Trash Bash in April.

The trash collected amounted to 9,300 cubic yards of debris.
