3 Buildings Damaged in Bicknell Fire



Fire caused heavy damage to three buildings in downtown Bicknell early Monday morning.

No one was injured in the fire which was reported around midnight by a passerby who saw smoke coming from an abandoned building on Main Street. 

The building had earlier been rented by the Indiana Department of Transportation, but had been vacant for a few months.

Also damaged were Larry Knight’s State Farm office and the Bicknell Senior Citizen’s center.

A damage estimate is not yet available.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
