Fire caused heavy damage to three buildings in downtown Bicknell early Monday morning. No one was injured in the fire which was reported around midnight by a passerby who saw smoke coming from an abandoned building on Main Street. The building had earlier been rented by the Indiana Department of Transportation, but had been vacant for a few months. Also damaged were Larry Knight’s State Farm office and the Bicknell Senior Citizen’s center. A damage estimate is not yet available. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office.
