Indiana Jobless Rate Continues to Fall; Dubois Co. Has Lowest Rate



Indiana's unemployment rate dropped to 5.7 percent in April as the state marked the ninth straight month that its jobless rate has fallen.

Indiana's April jobless rate was two-tenths percent lower than March's 5.9 percent.

The last time Indiana's unemployment mark was this low was in July 2008, when the state also had a 5.7 percent jobless rate.

Dubois County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate in April at 3.5%, down from 4.4% in March.

Daviess County’s April jobless rate was 3.8%, seven tenths percent lower than March.

Knox County’s rate fell six-tenths percent from 4.8% to 4.2%.
