Excise Officers Cite 15 Businesses, Arrest Alcohol Trainer

Indiana State Excise Police officers cited 15 alcohol businesses across Indiana on 115 charges Wednesday after a three-month investigation into fraudulent alcohol training certificates.

Excise officers also arrested 37-year-old Matthew Miller of Indianapolis, on two preliminary charges each of forgery and theft.

Miller, a certified alcohol trainer, is accused of offering to sell alcohol-training certificates to employees at businesses in Terre Haute for 20 to 25 dollars without requiring they attend any training.
