Both were entrapped in their vehicles.

Lampert and a passenger in his car, 56-year-old Michael Lampert of Saint Anthony, were taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Evansville.

Another passenger, 18-year-old Courtney Holsman of Saint Croix, was treated for injuries at Jasper Memorial and released.

Vonderheide was also treated for injuries at Jasper Memorial and released.

The accident closed State Road 162 for about one-hour.
