Judge Expects Ruling Soon on Indiana's Same Sex Marriage Ban

A federal judge says he will rule soon on a request to strike down Indiana‘s ban on same-sex marriage.

U.S. District Judge Richard Young heard arguments in Evansville Friday in one of the lawsuits challenging Indiana‘s marriage law.

Five same-sex couples are part of the case, including one couple whose marriage Judge Young ordered the state to temporarily recognize last month.

The restraining order granting recognition of Niki Quasney and Amy Sandler‘s marriage expires next Thursday.
