Jury Duty Scam Hits Lawrenceville

Lawrenceville Police are warning residents to be on the lookout for scammers telling them they’ve missed jury duty.

According to police, a man has been calling Lawrenceville residents and telling them they can pay 800 dollars to avoid going to jail.  The man then asks you to send him the money through the mail.

Officials say not to send anyone money. If you receive a call from the scam artists or someone you believe may be a scammer, call the Lawrenceville Police Department at 618-943-5766.
