New Parks Supervisor I Washington

A familiar face is the new Supervisor of Parks and Recreation in Washington.

Yesterday, Mayor Joe Wellman gave the oath of officer to Kip Kelley, who has served as the assistant Parks Supervisor since last August.  He’d also previously served as the parks superintendent between 2004 and 2008.

Kelley will be responsible for managing all four of the Washington parks and the city pool along with supervising the full time and summer staff. He’ll report to the mayor and parks board.

In addition to managing the parks, he’ll be responsible for cooperation with the Washington Community Schools, Soccer Federation, and Little league and will be in charge of planning events like Christmas in the Park.
