Work Release Inmate Arrested for Battery/Bodily Injury
Vincennes Police arrested an inmate of the Knox County Work Release Center Thursday afternoon for attacking a man in an alley on April 4th.
Police say 29-year-old Michael Brough Junior attacked 55-year-old Mark Case of Vincennes in an alleyway behind 10-08 Main Street.
Case had been punched, kicked in the head, and his moped thrown on top of him causing a head injury and severe bleeding.
Police say during a time when Brough was supposed to be at work, he attacked Case and a second man in the alleyway.
Police are looking for the owner of a White Chevy Astro van who was battered by Brough but fled the scene without calling police.
Pending review by the Knox County Prosecutor, the battery charge could be enhanced to a felony.
Brough is also expected to be charged with probation violation.
