Barr-Reeve Falls Short in State Title Run



The Barr-Reeve Vikings made a valiant effort, but came up short in their bid to win a Class A State Title Saturday, falling to Marquette Catholic 70-66 in overtime.

 Barr-Reeve took the game into overtime before Marquette went on a run scoring four straight in OT.

The Vikings were unable to counter.

Addison Wagler had 25 in the contest and Micah Bullock had 23.

This is the fourth time Barr-Reeve has finished runner up in the state finals.

They finish the season at 26-2.

For Marquette Catholic, Ryan Fazekas had 34 points, 10 rebounds and set a Class A Record with seven 3-pointers.
