Some students in illinois are trying out a new state standardized test. The New Partnership For Assessment Of Readiness for College and Careers or “PARCC” test will replace the I-SAT and P-S-A-E exams given in recent years. State Board of Education spokesperson Mary Fergus says they are having about 125 thousand public school students give it a shot. Fergus says they want to see if any questions on the PARCC test need to be rewritten and how the technology works. It’s expected it will be given to third through 11th graders in the next school year.
