Ambulance Rollover Injures Two
Two EMTs were injured Wednesday afternoon when an ambulance drifted off the side of Interstate 70 in Vigo County and rolled over.
There were no patients on board the Sullivan County ambulance.
The two EMT’s on board, 25-year-old Jessica Boyle of Sullivan and 27-year-old Kindra West of Jasonville, were able to get out of the vehicle.
They were taken to Terre Haute Regional Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
The ambulance was returning from a medical run to Indianapolis.
Boyle, who was driving the ambulance, told state police a strong gust of wind while passing a commercial vehicle contributed to the crash.
