Benefit Set for Toddler Who Died in Sullivan Day Care Fire

A fundraiser is being planned to raise money to pay the funeral expenses for a toddler who died in a Sullivan day care fire this week.

Proceeds from the March 23rd dinner and silent auction at the Sullivan County 4-H Grounds will go to the family of 17-month-old Emma Lloyd, whose funeral is scheduled for Saturday.

Emma died of smoke inhalation in Tuesday's fire at Waterman's Wonderland Daycare in Sullivan.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Residents have already donated about $1,800 toward funeral expenses.

In addition to the benefit, an account benefiting Emma Lloyd's family has also been set up at BMO Harris Bank.
