Warrick County Finds 3,700 Uncounted 2012 Votes
Warrick County officials say 3,700 early votes cast in the 2012 general election went uncounted because of an error by an electronic voting machine technician.
Warrick County Clerk Sarah Redmon says the error resulted in only 10 percent of in-person, early votes being tallied for the 2012 general election.
Warrick County Democratic Chairman Kevin Derr tells the Evansville Courier & Press the problem was discovered by a Democratic precinct committeewoman who recently was cross-referencing precinct summary reports with a state voter history report.
He says Indianapolis-based MicroVote found one of its technicians incorrectly uploaded early votes at the Warrick County Election Office.
Derr says the clerk's office told him the 3,700 votes would not have affected the outcome of any elections.
