Xgr: Day Care Regulation

Indiana state lawmakers are working on a compromise on closer regulation of unlicensed day care centers.

The Senate will vote next week on a bill requiring unlicensed daycares receiving government grant money to meet the same staffing requirements as similar-sized licensed centers.

But the bill deletes House-passed requirements on nutrition and daily activities, instead ordering providers to spell out in writing what they do offer.
