Restaurant Empire Accused Of Money Laundering
El Rodeo restaurant is offering more than tasty food in Indianapolis.
The business empire is accused of running a money laundering operation.
Documents released yesterday indicate five-million dollars seized in bank accounts plus foreign currency, gold coins, vehicles, and houses.
The court was asked to revoke all professional licenses held by defendants in Indiana.
The Indianapolis Star reports police across the state served search warrants the week of November 18th during raids at restaurants and homes.
El Rodeo establishments in Indianapolis and Avon, Fortville, Lafayette, Mooresville, Richmond and West Lafayette were searched.
Other Mexican-themed restaurants also were raided, including three La Carreta Restaurant & Bars, in Merrillville, Schererville and Vincennes.
