Metal Falls From Ceiling of Indiana University's Assembly Hall

Officials at Indiana University aren't sure why a piece of metal fell from the ceiling of historic Assembly Hall forcing cancellation of Tuesday's basketball game between Indiana and Iowa.

IU Athletic Director Fred Glass said a crew of engineers inspecting the building believe it may be weather related.

A piece of metal facing roughly eight feet long and 14 inches wide fell and damaged seats about six-and-a-half hours before the game was scheduled to tip-off.

Glass didn't say when the men's team will be able to play again at Assembly Hall.
He said they plan to work around the clock to fix the problem.
