David E. Hubster, age 69, of Jasper, Indiana passed away at 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday (February 11, 2014) at home.
Dave was born on October 6, 1944 in Huntingburg, IN to Morris and Lorraine (Kaiser) Hubster. He married Judy Ring on September 18, 1965 in Augustana Church in Holland, IN.
He retired from Generations, where he worked as a case manager. He also worked part time for Holiday Liquors in Jasper. Previous he worked in Human Resource roles for various companies.
Dave was an Air Force veteran who served during the Vietnam war.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper, where he was serving as a church council member and had served on many other committees and ministries.
He was a court appointed special advocate (CASA) for children in Dubois County. He was a board member of the Dubois County Food Bank.
He enjoyed cooking, reading, genealogy, auctions and flea markets. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's events.

Preceding him in death was one brother, James "Bud" Hubster.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday (February 16, 2014) at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper, with burial to follow at a later date. Pastor Debbie Roe will officiate. The American Legion Post #493 will conduct military rites.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday (February 15, 2014) at Trinity United Church of Christ in Jasper.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, and C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocate) or to a favorite charity.
