Tecumseh-Harrison Elementary School in Vincennes was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon after a wanted man being chased by authorities attempted to gain entry to the school.
Travis Campbell fled his nearby residence when Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies, US Marshals and Indiana State Police showed up to serve a warrant.
The school doors were locked and Campbell was unable to get inside.
A school bus driver, who happened to be a Bicknell Reserve Officer, took Campbell into custody.
Campbell is being held in the Knox County Jail on a variety of charges, including Possession of a firearm by a violent felon, criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, pointing a firearm, possession of stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine.
