Jury Finds Former Manager of "Little Nashville Opry" Not-Guilty of Arson

A Brown County Circuit Court Jury has found the former manager of the Little Nashville Opry not-guilty of arson.

The Bloomington Herald Times reports 78-year-old James Bowyer of Morgantown was accused of setting the fire that destroyed the music hall in September of 2009.

The prosecution alleged Bowyer had heavy gambling losses and set the fire in hopes of collecting three-million dollars in insurance money.

Prosecutors also said both Bowyer and his companion, Little Nashville Opry owner Esther Hamilton, had accumulated large debts from casino gambling.
