Indiana Senate Approves Student Concussion Bill

The Indiana Senate approved a bill Thursday to keep high school athletes with suspected concussions off the field for at least 24 hours.

The legislation also requires high school football coaches and assistant football coaches to receive training on player safety and head injuries every two years.

The bill now moves to the House for approval.

The governor must also sign-off on the bill before it becomes law.
