Same Sex Marriage Bill Reassigned

The proposed constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage in Indiana has been reassigned from the House Judiciary Committee to the Elections Committee.

House Speaker Brian Bosma says he did it because the GOP caucus wants to get the issue to the floor and the assumption was that it didn't have the votes needed to get out of the Judiciary Committee.

The Elections Committee will hold a hearing on the bill today.
