Suspect, Victim Identified In Purdue Shooting
Police at Purdue University say both the suspect and the victim in today's fatal shooting on campus were students at the school.
Purdue Police Chief John Cox stressed the victim had been targeted by the suspect and this was "not an active shooter incident."
The suspected gunman has been identified as Cody Cousins, a 23-year-old engineering student.
At a late afternoon news conference, police said the victim is 21-year-old Andrew Boldt from West Bend, Wisconsin.
He was a teaching assistant at the school.
Purdue Provost Timothy Sands says the rest of the campus is open again, but the Electrical Engineering Building will remain closed for now.
