IL: Governor Continues Push to Raise the Minimum Wage



Governor Pat Quinn is continuing his push to raise the minimum wage in Illinois.

Quinn says he plans to work day and night to get the minimum wage raised to at least 10 dollars an hour this year.

Governor Quinn says six out of 10 minimum wage workers in Illinois are women.
The current minimum wage rate in Illinois is eight dollars and 25 cents an hour.
