Snow May Not Pose Big Flood Threat

Large amounts of snow that fell in Central Indiana Sunday may not pose a big flood threat for the southwestern part of the state.

National Weather Service Forecaster Joe Skowronek says the large snow pack to our north is expected to melt slowly.

He says the slow melt-off should keep area rivers from excessive flooding...

Even with the slow melt, rivers will be rising some over the days to come, since a foot or more of snow fell in some areas of Central Indiana.
