Ferdinand Woman Facing Charges in Fatal Crash
A Ferdinand woman is facing charges in connection with an accident a week ago today on State Road 64 in Dubois County in which two people were killed.
The Dubois County Free Press reports 20-year-old Carlisha Dooley was arrested Monday on two counts of Operating While Intoxicated Causing a Death, two Counts of Reckless Homicide, and one Count of Driving While Suspended.
Police say Dooley was driving eastbound on State Road 64 at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her SUV.
The vehicle hit a guardrail, went down an embankment, hit a tree and apparently overturned before coming to a rest on its wheels.
Two passengers, 20-year-old Jessica Morgan of Birdseye and 28-year-old Eric Bureau of Dale were pronounced dead at the scene.
Dooley was treated for injuries at Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville and released.
