Two Killed in Dubois Co. Accident
The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says "huffing" compressed air may have lead to an accident Saturday morning in which two people died.
Authorities say 18-year-old Marcos Ayala of Huntingburg was southbound on US 231, just north of Witz Road, when he drove left of center.
His car hit an oncoming vehicle driven by 49-year-old Earl Cox of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Ayala and Cox died from injuries received in the accident.
A passenger in Ayala's vehicle, 19-year-old Hector Vasquez of Huntingburg, was taken to Saint Mary's Hospital in Evansville for treatment of an injury to his abdomen.
A passenger in Cox's vehicle, 40-year-old Julia Hutchinson of Huntingburg, was taken to Saint Mary's for treatment of Head and facial trauma.
The accident remains under investigation.
