The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch from late tonight through Sunday morning for Daviess, Greene, Knox, Martin, Lawrence, Monroe, Owen, and Sullivan Counties.

In addition, recent snow melt will combine with the rainfall to accelerate the flood threat.

Rainfall totals are expected to be in the 2 to 4 inch range with localized amounts in excess of 5 inches.

The heaviest rainfall will occur throughout the day and evening Saturday.

A separate Flood Watch will be in effect from this evening through Saturday night in Pike and Gibson counties where 3 to 5 inches of rain could fall.

The heaviest rainfall is expected from late tonight through Midnight Saturday in those two counties.
