2-Dead, 1-Seriously Injured in Dubois Co. Accident

The Dubois County Sheriff's Office says two people were killed and one seriously injured in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday night on State Road 64, just east of State Road 162.

Authorities say 20-year-old Carlisha Dooley of Ferdinand was driving eastbound at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her SUV.

The vehicle hit a guardrail, went down an embankment, hit a tree and apparently overturned ... coming to a rest on its wheels.

Two passengers, 20-year-old Jessica Morgan of Birdseye and 28-year-old Eric Bureau of Dale were pronounced dead at the scene.

Dooley was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital and then transferred to Saint Mary's in Evansville.

She is listed in stable condition.

The accident closed State Road 64 for about 2 ½ hours.
