State Police Warn Public About Another Scam

Another scam is making the rounds and Indiana state Police say this one involves someone posing as a police officer calling you and threatening to arrest you if you don't pay a fine for some fabricated crime or debt.

State police say a state police detective recently had a message threatening such an arrest left on voicemail.

Police say the callers often have some personal information about the victim, which makes the caller seem more legitimate.

Police say it's hard to trace such calls because most originate from cell phones all over the United States.
