IL: Governor Signs Bill Fine Tuning Concealed Carry Law

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn has signed a bill that fine tunes the state's new concealed carry law.

The change prohibits communities like the City of Chicago from regulating where guns can be carried.

Aldermen recently passed an ordinance banning guns from any business that serves booze…or face revocation of their liquor license.

Representative Brandon Phelps of Harrisburg says the new legislation makes sure they can't do that.

The new legislation also lets corrections officers already certified to carry a weapon to skip the required concealed carry training.
