WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH
FRIDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN INDIANAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING.

* MAIN IMPACT:ROADS MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE OR VERY SLICK DUE TO  HEAVY SNOW AND SLEET...SNOW WILL REDUCE VISIBILITY...TRAVEL MAY  BECOME VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE AT TIMES.

* ACCUMULATIONS: WIDESPREAD 3 TO 6 INCHES OF COMBINED SNOW AND  SLEET WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS.

* TIMING: WINTRY PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN EARLY THURSDAY  EVENING...WITH PRECIPITATION BECOMING HEAVIER AND TRANSITIONING TO SNOW THURSDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY FRIDAY. SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL WILL TAPER OFF EARLY FRIDAY EVENING.

* FORECASTER CONFIDENCE: MEDIUM. THERE REMAINS SOME UNCERTAINTY ASTO THE POSITION OF THE FRONTAL BOUNDARY. A MORE NORTHERLY POSITION OF THE FRONT COULD RESULT IN LOWER SNOW AND SLEET TOTALS AS MORE WARM AIR WOULD OVERSPREAD THE AREA. IF THE FRONT
  TRACKS FURTHER SOUTH...THE COLDER TEMPERATURES COULD RESULT IN HIGHER SNOW TOTALS.
