Two Vigo Co. Residents Arrested for Neglect of Dependents
It wasn't a happy Thanksgiving for one Vigo County family.
Police went to a home on Pottsville Road in northeastern Vigo County after receiving a report of a woman threatening to shoot family members with a gun.
Officers say 40-year-old Jennifer Termine was involved in a fight between several of her children.
Authorities ended up removing several children from the home, which was said to be in "deplorable and hazardous" condition.
Deputies observed cats running loose in the residence and animal feces strewn throughout the house.
Deputies found nearly every living space of the home to be filled with garbage.
Termine and her father, 71-year-old Norval Sollars, were taken into custody.
