Accused Killer Found Competent to Stand Trial

A special judge ruled this week that Jason Perry is competent to stand trial in the murder of Jessica Tice in the parking lot of a Princeton restaurant back in May.

The Princeton Daily Clarion reports Special Judge James Redwine of Posey County issued the ruling after agreeing with psychological profiles saying Perry was competent to stand trial.

The Daily Clarion also reports Redwine denied requests by Perry's two attorneys to withdraw from the case.

Perry is scheduled to stand trial March 13th in Posey Circuit Court.
