IL: Parking In Handicapped Spots Come With Big Fines
It’s tempting to park in a handicapped parking spot when lots are full during the holidays, but it could come with big fines.
Police will be out patrolling retail parking lots this Friday cracking down on those who are parked illegally.
Misusing a disability placard comes with a 500-dollar fine for the first offense and a one-thousand-dollar fine the second time.
You’ll also lose your license for a year.
Get busted a third time and your license will be revoked.
Anyone caught using a stolen placard, or one that once belonged to a dead person, will pay a 25-hundred-dollar fine.
