State Parks Closed Again Today for Deer Hunt

Some Indiana state parks are closed again today and will be again in two weeks so that hunters can help thin out the deer population.

The Indiana DNR's Mike Mycroft says the closed hunts are part of the Department of Natural Resources' effort to keep the deer population at a manageable level.

The state parks affected include Brown County, Lincoln, McCormick's Creek, Shades, Shakamak, Spring Mill, and Turkey Run.

The state parks will reopen the morning after each two-day reduction.
